Teara is an energetic youth who enjoys a variety of activities including
visiting other cities, listening to music, reading, and drawing. She especially
likes participating in her church choir because she is a talented singer. Teara
can be quite lively around her peers and with adults. She has a good sense of
humor and easily laughs.
Teara needs help with following rules and maintaining appropriate boundaries at
times. She is quite determined and strong-willed. When redirected, she can
easily become uncooperative.
Teara is very bright and intelligent. She performs academically well in school
and enjoys one-on-one attention. In school she needs help in getting along with
her peers, being respectful towards her teachers, and controlling her temper.
Teara requires a family who can provide her with consistent boundaries,
expectations, and structure. The best family for Teara will be highly structured
and have an abundance of patience. It is recommended that Teara be the only
child in the home because she thrives with one-on-one attention and because she
is still learning appropriate boundaries and social skills. Teara will further
benefit from ongoing supportive services as she adjusts to her new home.
